This Shipping & Collection Policy forms part of the Terms and Conditions of Sale and Consignment of Rock Consignments London Ltd and applies to all Buyers and Consignors.

2. General
2.1 All Lots purchased through Rock Consignments London Ltd must be paid for in full before collection or shipment can be arranged.
2.2 This Policy should be read together with the Auctioneer’s Terms and Conditions of Sale and Consignment.
2.3 The Auctioneer reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time.
3. Payment Prior to Dispatch
3.1 No Lot shall be released until all monies due have been received in cleared funds.
3.2 This includes:
- Hammer Price;
- Buyer’s Premium;
- Shipping charges;
- Applicable taxes;
- Any other charges due.
3.3 Buyers must pay within seven (7) calendar days of the auction closing date.
4. Shipping Arrangements
4.1 Shipping may be arranged:
- By Rock Consignments London Ltd;
- Through an approved third-party shipping provider;
- Directly by the Buyer.
4.2 Shipping quotations provided by the Auctioneer are estimates only.
4.3 Shipping costs may vary depending on:
- Destination;
- Weight;
- Dimensions;
- Insurance requirements;
- Carrier charges;
- Customs requirements.
4.4 The Buyer remains responsible for all shipping costs.
5. Buyer’s Risk
5.1 All Lots are shipped entirely at the Buyer’s risk.
5.2 Risk passes to the Buyer immediately upon:
- Collection by the Buyer; or
- Transfer of the Lot to a shipping carrier;
whichever occurs first.
5.3 The Auctioneer accepts no responsibility for:
- Loss in transit;
- Theft;
- Damage;
- Mishandling by carriers;
- Delayed deliveries;
- Customs delays;
- Carrier insolvency.
5.4 Buyers are strongly encouraged to arrange suitable transit insurance.
6. Collection of Lots
6.1 Buyers may arrange collection where permitted by the Auctioneer.
6.2 Collection shall only be available following confirmation that cleared payment has been received.
6.3 Buyers may be required to provide:
- Identification;
- Proof of purchase;
- Collection authorisation.
6.4 Third-party collections must be approved by the Auctioneer in advance.
7. International Shipping
7.1 Rock Consignments London Ltd ships to many international destinations.
7.2 Buyers are responsible for ensuring that purchased Lots may legally be imported into their country.
7.3 International Buyers are solely responsible for:
- Customs duties;
- Import VAT;
- Local taxes;
- Brokerage fees;
- Import permits;
- Regulatory requirements;
- Any additional governmental charges.
7.4 The Auctioneer accepts no liability for:
- Customs inspections;
- Import delays;
- Seizures;
- Refusal of entry;
- Regulatory restrictions.
8. Customs Declarations
8.1 Customs declarations shall be completed accurately and in accordance with applicable law.
8.2 The Auctioneer will not falsify customs documentation, values, descriptions, or shipping records.
8.3 Buyers shall not request false customs declarations.
9. Delivery Times
9.1 Delivery times are estimates only.
9.2 No guarantee is provided regarding delivery dates.
9.3 The Auctioneer shall not be liable for delays caused by:
- Couriers;
- Customs authorities;
- Transport disruptions;
- Weather events;
- Industrial action;
- Regulatory inspections;
- Events beyond reasonable control.
10. Restricted and Prohibited Items
10.1 Certain Lots may be subject to import, export, licensing, cultural property, endangered species, or other legal restrictions.
10.2 Buyers are responsible for investigating and complying with applicable laws before bidding.
10.3 The Auctioneer shall not be liable where a Buyer is unable to import or possess a Lot lawfully.
11. Packaging
11.1 Lots shall be packaged using methods considered appropriate by the Auctioneer or appointed shipping provider.
11.2 Packaging methods may vary according to the nature of the Lot.
11.3 The Auctioneer does not guarantee that original packaging, cases, boxes, or display materials will be available unless specifically described.
12. Lost or Damaged Shipments
12.1 Claims relating to loss or damage during transit should be reported immediately to the shipping carrier.
12.2 Where insurance has been purchased, claims should be submitted in accordance with the insurer’s procedures.
12.3 The Auctioneer shall provide reasonable assistance where possible but accepts no liability for carrier actions or omissions.
13. Failure to Collect
13.1 Buyers shall collect Lots within a reasonable period following notification that collection is available.
13.2 Storage charges may be applied to uncollected Lots.
13.3 The Auctioneer reserves the right to relocate, store, or resell uncollected Lots in accordance with its Terms and Conditions and applicable law.
13.4 Any costs incurred shall remain payable by the Buyer.
14. Returns and Shipping Costs
14.1 Where a return is authorised by law or by written agreement of the Auctioneer, shipping costs shall remain the responsibility of the Buyer unless otherwise required by law.
14.2 Customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, insurance costs, and other third-party charges are generally non-refundable.
